The Song Train
FAQ    Contact    Home

Most beginner methods start with the D and A7 chords. You can play a few dozen songs with just these chords, and a few of them are good songs and not just nursery rhymes.

If you think they are easy it probably means you already play some guitar. If you can already play them, flip the guitar around and play left-handed. You've forgotten what it was like. That "simple" D chord is impossible. Quick, switch it to an A7-- then back to a D while strumming! You can't. It's much too hard.

So how do you get started? Wouldn't it be nice if there were an easier way that sounded good but didn't take so many hours to learn?
