None of the tricks and methods used in beginning guitar really gets us more quickly to that place where we can bang out Willie Nelson, Jimmy Buffett, Arlo Guthrie, John Prine, or James Taylor songs at the campfire or at a party.

It's just too hard to get the music sounding good enough to keep you practicing.
