After 45 years of playing guitar, I stumbled on a clever, hidden tuning that simplifies guitar fingering. With 2-finger shapes as easy as a regular E minor chord, you suddenly get full-sounding chords, in more than one key. No stretching to reach those notes. No weird notes in the chords.
Men, women or children as young as 4 can sing along in almost any key, with nice bass strings ringing, normal-sounding chords, and little need to avoid "bad" strings. And you can play folk, country, blues, even some jazz chords, and a lot of really popular songs with only easy 2-finger chords.
It has none of the usual drawbacks of simplified guitar methods. It must be hard or impractical. It can't be true. I must be lying or mistaken... But I'm not. I have been a professional guitar player my whole life. I won the National Fingerpicking contest. I know guitar and I'm not crazy. It is very real and it is very, very exciting. I call it Liberty Tuning. |
